Hi

I thought it would be nice to share stories or helpful hints on this topic.

We have had a great sleep routine at night but the boys have changed and are waking OFTEN through the night. They are not hungry and do not eat until 7am but are up every half to hour if it is not one it is the other.
We recently put them in their own cribs across from each other. We do not want this to become a habit so we have been trying not to go to them until they get very upset and we go in and give them their soothers and rub their their faces or re-swaddle them (yes we are still swaddling they still like it).
Any ideas what the issue is?

Hi Kim :wavey: It's good to see you here.

We just transitioned Jonathan and Jenn too. They've fussed a little while going to bed, but have, gratefully, stayed asleep till the morning. Like you, I usually let them fuss a little and then go in to soothe them. At the most, it takes about 2 - 3 times, then they're okay. Other than that, I'm not sure. :dunno:

Maybe we can get some of the other Moms of multiples to come over and help us out. :)

Hi Mina

Do your children use soothers? I am not sure if this is the issue, or they are going through a growth spurt and need and bottle but because we have not been feeding through the night I would prefer not to start a habit unless it is needed. I thought they may be teething? I have not introduced veggies yet just ceral. We started ceral late morning approx 10am and again at 6pm. Maybe they need their veggies? It is so hard to guess and I don't want to do the wrong thing and mess them up or start bad habits.

Kim, I let Jonathan and Jenna go to sleep with their pacifiers (soothers). Then when they fall asleep and I check on the for the last time, I take the pacifiers away and put them on the shelf. You might try that and see what happens.
