I voted no...we didn't find out with Aubry and it was a wonderful surprise. We won't find out this time either.
I've already had my baby and I couldn't have waited to know.

I voted yes, although Julian is almost 2 - I'm such an inquisitive person, and such a planner, that I couldn't have stood it if we hadn't found out. I'm just glad my son was a shameless exhibitionist and there was virtually no doubt we were having a boy!

I'm a yes & a no. I want to (sometimes) so that we can really prepare for the baby but other times I don't want to, that way it will be a surprise when they say "it's a...." in the delivery room! I think that would make a lot of the pain seem to subside (hopefully). :daz:
Also, the type of insurance I'm using may & may not cover that u/s.

We were also on the line of finding out. The morning of the ultrasound (18 weeks) we decided to find out, but the baby was a little shy. So we were ready to have a surprise baby. We were lucky enough to get another ultrasound at 22 weeks and decided to find out the sex again. The baby was STILL shy. At 32 weeks we recieved another ultrasound and found out it was a boy. I'm so glad we found out, but another part of me says all we had to do was wait 7 more weeks for our surprise to come out.
I don't think we will found out the sex for our second child (I say that now, but wait to the time comes).

I would not want to know, but of course that's subject to change, depending on how DH would feel. Can't have it where one doesn't want to know, while the other one does! I would want it to be like Christmas; one big surprise.

I go back and forth with this one. With my 1st, we didn't find out and it WAS a nice surprise (considering everyone was telling us we were having a boy!) We DID find out ahead of time with the other 3 though... with #4, I really wanted to wait, but we were really trying for a boy, and wer dying to know! We are SO impatient!! "If" we have another, I'm still undecided if I want to know in advance. :)

I moved to a province in Canada where the Health Association WILL NOT tell the sex. Apparently, the Association, which includes Doctors, Lab Technitions, etc. feel it is against the unborn's baby's rights, as the mother may treat the baby differently. For example...if the mother wants a girl and she finds out it's a boy, the mother may not take care of the unborn child as well as if it were a girl. So a woman willnot see the film of the ultrasound if it is showing its sex, and it will not be told. Different, but I guess it makes sense in a way. What do you think?

I found out with both of my sons, of course daddy new both times that they were boys, he also knew with the pregnancy before them.. We were pregnant with Twins, the docs said 2 boys daddy said a boy and a girl and he was right.. sadly we lost them at birth. This time we wanted to be surprised, but since daddy now says its a girl.. I have to find out.. I am too anxious to see if he is right... and also.. I can get alot of shopping done now if it is a girl.
I found out when I was pg with Sarah, although I enjoyed her having an identity and a name when she was inside me, she was nothing what I thought she would be when she was born. She was called Eilidh right through pg and it didnt suit her when she was born.
This time I would like it to be a complete suprise to me and enjoy the guessing game of what it will be and arguing with DH over it
I had my Big U/S last week and i did very well in refraining from knowing the sex, so thats it, Its going to be a suprise! :)

I would find out for the first baby....and leave it a surprise on the second!
At first I said I didn't want to, but now I totally want to know. I'm only in my 6th week, so it will be a while before we know. I want to know if I'm having Noah (if it's a boy), or Rachel (if it's a girl). One of those little critters is down there sprouting arm buds as I type. :)Hee!

With Elizabeth I wanted to know even though she did not cooperate real well! LOL!! Then with my second pregnancy Joshua we held it out till the very end. But of course during my u/s the tech said she had a clear shot if we wanted to know. LOL- go figuire!! When we wanted to know it was tough but the time we choose not to know there it is for the whole world to see!

BTW- it was awesome when Joshua finally made his appearance for my DH to be able to announce to the others outside the room "its a boy"!

Yes I knew the sex of all my kids before I had them. I have 2 daughters ages 6 and 3 and I am having a baby boy in 25 days.
