I've heard people talk about sometimes fierce competition to get into the "best" preschool or kindergarten programs. Did you have to get on a waiting list to get into the preschool or kindergarten of your choice? Did you get into the program that was your first choice, or did you have to go with Plan B? If you were on a waiting list, how long was the wait?
