So your spouse works and you stay home. How much does your spouse help with the kids when he/she gets home from work?

I'm quite lucky in that I can count on Jason to help out a lot. He helps me feed and bathe the kids and then we put them down for the night together. On the weekends, we give each other one day to sleep in and then share the responsibilty for the kids. He's also really good about giving me "my time" when I need it.

Not as much as I'd like or expect. But I think my expectations are set too high. It's not my fault, really. I just have my father's example to go by and he was very "hands on". The last diaper DH changed was a few weeks ago, and that was basically because I told him to. I know DH tries, but when he does take Ian off my hands it's usually to just sit on the couch and watch TV or lay in bed with him. I really with DH would do more in the way of stimulating interaction but I don't know how to make it happen.

I have to say that Bill is awesome. He is very very involved with Kalynn when he gets home. They love to play games together. He also changes diapers, gets her ready for bed, help me around the house, etc.

Fortunately, David is very good at helping out around the house. There are times when I have to fight him just to cook dinner after he's worked a long day and I've been home.

My DH helps a lot...but I work from home and go to school from home so he's on duty at nights. It really is very busy in this house!
