:crazy: Hi Everyone, I have recently (May, 2003) had Gastric Bypass Surgery and would love to find someone to compare notes with and also find out if there are any good support group meetings. I have done well and lost 130 pounds and am wondering how other people's experiences have gone.

I didn't have bypass, but I did have the lap-band (adjustable gastric band) surgery on August 27, 2003. So far I've lost 60 pounds and think this is the best thing I've ever done for myself. :)

Hi there...
I had open RNY surgery on April 30, 2002. I've lost about 150 lbs. I can't imagine life without the surgery!! It's made the most incredible difference in my life. Food will always be an issue in my life and I hate that. The surgery is definitely not for everyone and it's definitely not a magic pill. It takes work to maintain once you're down to your goal weight. But it's worth it!!

I'm now 7 weeks preggers and anticipate nothing but a healthy pregnancy and healthy baby.
