Yes i will ride them, BUT not all the time it really depends on how far i need to go up, But i kknow what you mean about praying HOLLY!!!
I know This past time when mom was at the local Hospital before being transferred to the heart center, Me and my sister had a accident to happen where the thing almost got stuck. We were heading down to the 1st floor well once it got there the darn door would not open, after about 2 to 3 minutes it finally opened, it freaked my sister out...LOL.... Then the one beside us did get stuck with 5 people on it, Luckly some crew come in and got them out safe and got the elevators back working properly!!!!
Scarey i know that!!!!!!
For me, I need to ride on them especially if I have Sarah with me ;) they dont bother me at all not like esculators. If I am on my own I would take the stairs.
I usually take the stairs or escalator if I'm only going up a couple of floors. I can honestly say that our elevators are much nicer than the ones we encountered in Russia. They are very small and only fit about 4 people, that's with you standing shoulder to shoulder and when it gets to the floor it feels like it drops a little before the door opens.

I hate elevators. But I hate being closed in anything without an exit so to speak. A reason I dislike flying so much it is that being closed in feeling that gets me.
I also dislike heights so double whammy. KWIM?
The worst elevators to me are the glass ones where you see as you go higher and higher...

Elevators don't really bother me much. Julian hated them when he was younger, but will tolerate them now. If I'm just going up a flight or two, I'll take the stairs if I'm by myself.

I really don't mind them. I only use elevators if I have Ian in a stroller or if no stroller if it's a bunch of floors up. Eliot used to hold on for dear life when he was younger but now he's more relaxed about it, I guess Ian sees brother enjoying them & he's never been afraid of them... they especially like the see thru ones :)
I'm more afraid of an escalator.
