Is your Dr. concerned about your age during pregnancy? If so what is your age and what is your Dr.'s concerns? Is he recommending any special restrictions, test or procedures because of your age?

At the age of 34, I squeaked past the extra testing...although it's a rule that now they have to offer up the genetic testing (at least here in PA). If I would have been 35 when I was due, I'm not sure if it would have been more mandatory than optional... I don't remember them talking so much about genetic testing and our options for it, when I was pregnant at 31 with Libby.

We'll cross our fingers that nothing strange shows up on the ultrasounds!

I was 35 when pregnant with Ian plus with my high blood pressure problems with Eliot my Dr. kept a good eye on me. The screen test for Ian came back with traces of Trisomy18 which it was a big concern so I had an amnio & a whole bunch of 2D sonograms to make sure he was okay.

I'm 40. No special restrictions have been mentioned, and my doc asked if I was interested in genetic testing. I don't know yet specifically what that might be, and I told him that sure, I'd be interested because I like to be prepared if there's anything out of the ordinary to be prepared for, but nothing is mandatory that I'm aware of.
