Saw this elsewhere and thought it was a good topic to discuss...

You're going to visit a friend, who says they will child/baby-proof their home before you and your child come over to visit. While you're there, your child breaks a flower vase that was within reach of their little hands.

Who's responsible for the vase? You or your friend?

I would think in order to smooth out the feelings of the friend, I'd buy her a new vase. Even if my friend tried and tried to move everything out of the way, ultimately, it's my child who broke something of hers, and I would replace it.

(but I'd make darn sure next time that all vases or expensive things were out of fingers' reach!)

If i had a child and that Happened, I would feel bad that it happened, But I wold replace what ever was broken, to keep Peace.
