How Many Home Pregnancy Test Did You Take Before You Believed It?

We got home from escorting my Uncle home & I had to use the restroom - when I looked in the mirrow I just figured something was going on. For some reason, I just felt different. There was one pregnancy test in the bathroom closet that I had left over from a time before of a later period. I used it and there it was!! Pregnant. I went into the living room to tell my husband, who decided we must go to Wal-Mart and get a few more, I waited in the car for him & he came out with 3. I took two when we got home & one the next morning. Then I took another at the clinic for their records. They couldn't believe I was coming in for a pregnancy test - since I was only less than a full week late - but I did it & so that made FIVE!

Now our nurses like to refer to me as the "many tests" girl.

I took a HPT on May 4th....POSITIVE!!!!!
I took a HPT on May 5th....POSITIVE!!!!!
Went to the Doctor on May 6th....POSITIVE!!!!!
The Blood work came back on May 7th....POSITIVE, hormone level was 481!!!!:flash:

I took 1 and once it said PREGNANT, I pretty much believed it... I took the second test in the box 2 days later (I figured it would just be sitting around for the next 8 1/2 months so I might as well take it) and I had to take another one for the Dr. Office...

I only toke 2. We were OTL but didn't think it would happen so quick. AF was late, but we didn't think anything of it. I was very sick, but we were told my MS was just a virus (that started when I was 3 Weeks and went away when I was 10 Weeks. I toke a HPT on November 1, 2002 and it was Positive, and I had to take another test at the Doctors Office on November 4, 2002 (isn't it amazing the dates we remember).

I took two one the Sat after my period was to arrive and the second Sunday morning both were very faint strain your eyes kind of lines. :) So Monday I went to the Dr. for the blood test and got that result back on Weds.

I think I took two at home plus one at the dr's office! :) But I still wanted the blood test to make sure!! :blush: :lol:

:lol: I took 8 all were positive my Dr told me to accept it but I insisted she take blood work to be doubly doubly sure, only because I was told there was a very slim chance of me conceiving!

I took 2 this time around. The the first time the line was soooooooooo light that I thought I was seeing things but the second one taken 2 days later was darker.

I took 5 and all were positive. The reason being iI had aperiod last month and I wasn't even late and they all still came up postive. Go to the Dr. on Dec.2 to find out for sure

I believed it with the first one, largely because I had had NO spotting like I usually did before AF was coming and because I'd felt some weird crampy/pulling feelings in my abdomen that I'd never felt before. I knew something was up. :lol: I took four tests total, though - three at home and one at the doc's office.

1 HPT for each kid plus the one at the Drs. I pretty much believed it when I saw it so there was no need for another one, the one at the Dr's was pretty much for their records as I had to doubt we were pregnant.

Ok Lisa How many did you have to take before you believed the Postive test you got?

Wow, this is an older thread that I never saw until now.
With Maddy I never took a home test, just went to the dr. for my yearly and I was pregnant.
With Wyatt I took 7 in one day, then kept taking them throughout the week to make sure they kept getting darker.
I have spent sooooo much money on HPT's in the past that it isn't even funny.
